The taste of tea is greatly enhanced by the way it is prepared and served. Ceramic mugs are not suitable for coffee or tea as they are porous and contain and leak particles (like tannin) that prevent us from enjoying hot beverages. Also, a thick mug is the best way to suck out the heat! Not only are these small (6 ounce) mugs sturdy and very pretty, but their size (and ribbed design, maybe for extra insulation?) helps keep tea very warm. The only other handy gadget (like a chopstick in the dishwasher) I like is a double-walled glass tumbler for this purpose. With cups that small, I can even enjoy a tea bag more than once. If you're too lazy to make tea like me, just throw in a PG Tips tea bag for a wonderful instant tea. On the other hand, if you like spoiling your milk tea, you should definitely reach for your old mug. Your tea is already cold 🤡
