A two piece would be better.
I am 5ft 5in, 190lbs, I bought XL and it fits well. It would be perfect if the shirt wasn't attached to the shorts as the one piece jumpsuit shorts pull up at the top as you walk and the extra fabric goes down to help with chafing and hide the fact your haha eating shorts . I can see that someone who doesn't want extra coverage would have preferred just shorts, but I was grateful for the extra fabric. It's not the most comfortable outfit because of the breeches, but other than that it was very cute and I'll be wearing it again for a beach vacation this summer.
