I hope it lasts many Christmas seasons; I bought this because our 2 year old grandson was wondering why we don't let him approach others in the neighbors yards. It was a great success for him because he was able to hug the penguin. It's quite a charming piece. Once I learned how to blow it up every night, it wasn't difficult at all. It was less fun in rainy seasons, but it still worked. The wind was the worst enemy; strong winds can knock it over, so be sure to use the cable ties provided. The ties are also likely to protect it from theft late at night. All in all it was fun and worked.
