A few tips to improve the performance of your dishwasher and soap.

I bought these Finish Dishwashing Tabs (8X, All In 1, Fresh Scent) as a subscription and saved. After the additional savings of an average of 11 cents each, this makes for excellent value for a box of 90. I used to work at an appliance retail store where we recommended and used pre-made cookware tabs a lot. The best cleaners (but more expensive) are made by Miele and are not available in most grocery stores. Label finishing is the next best thing. The red center is a rinse aid that helps the dishes dry better (especially useful if you have a dishwasher with a stainless steel tub). Each of the layers dissolves at different times during the wash cycles, helping to clean everything. If you find your glasses are covered in white spots, it's not the detergent's fault (well, not really). Newer dishwashers perform better, so the trick is to leave some of the sauce on the dishes. Scrape off the solids, but leave the ketchup, sauce, etc. on. The reason is that the soap has to do something. If you prewash everything (like they used to do when dishwashers didn't wash well either), the soap doesn't make a difference and you end up with soap scum on glasses and dishes. Stop the prewash for cleaner dishes. Another tip if you're washing a small load but not very dirty. We cut these tabs in half and they clean just as well. Kitchen scissors cut them, but usually one half falls apart. I throw the pieces in the dishwasher (works just as well) and use the second half of the next load. We only use full tablets when we have a large load that requires more detergent. You can see what suits your device best. If your dishwasher was built in the last 20 years or so, all of the above probably applies to you as well. Some of the cheaper models (common in apartments) don't have a built-in water heater. You can try heating the water in the sink until it is hot just before you start the dishwasher. As a result, it reaches the right temperature faster and is cleaned better. Recommended. To smile. Hope this is helpful!
