They are fine for gentle everyday use

These are fine for gentle everyday use but I understand why they can break (noted by other reviewers). I miss the old metal hangar design and locking mechanism. The wide plastic piece that holds the sag is the same as the "historic" versions. Before that, however, the hangar/closer was all metal and more durable. I would buy it again as I believe we cannot avoid cost cutting but I would be pleased and willing to pay more if I could find an earlier design. (Note-Note to the manufacturer.)
