Black looks great, but there are some cons.

I originally bought 8 of the rustic frames but they looked too unfinished, so I returned them and bought the black. The black frames are gorgeous! The look great on our gallery wall. I will caution that I had to pay $35 for shipping and then another $15 for a box to ship the original frames back. That was quite irritating.Also, these frames break so easily! I used command strips to hang the frames and when two fell off the wall (they were hung about 2 feet off the ground), the wood frame broke instantly. I had to buy another set of frames, which was quite disappointing. I also received one order where the glass in both frames was shattered. Best Buy did replace them for no additional charge so that was great.

These are very nice frames for the money. Real wood, without any glossy finish so it looks very natural. The corner joints are tight and strong and they arrived very well packaged.
