I am about to have a second stage lumbar fusion. My old BraceAlign lumbar brace was worn almost constantly for a year and fell apart (no wonder). It shifted while wearing it, so I decided to try a different brand of braces. Five years ago I had a knee prosthesis. The Ossur knee brace was fantastic. I wore it for 4 years while waiting for my youngest to start kindergarten so I could rest during the day after surgery. It really worked. On the other hand, the back brace is NOT true to size. I bought the XL because it fits in that measurement range. The range differs by about 5-10 inches. I can keep it because it has so much potential and once I start training after the surgery I can wear it. But right now it's just taking up space. If it was a size XXL I would buy it immediately, but I don't.
