Bought this camera for a "one off" trip with a friend, took about 10 test shots before the trip, here it is the lens is blocks and gives an error "turn off and on again"; I couldn't believe this happened with a Nikon camera, I had to use my friend's camera to take much lower quality pictures. I returned the first camera thinking it was a 1 in 1 million problem and got a replacement (same model). 2 shots, same problem. I'm done with this model. There are reports online of this issue and hints of a firmware update to prevent it, but when the camera is locked I can't do that either.
