I have an older printer that works with either USB or WiFi. But since it's no longer supported by the company, I can't update the wireless driver, so sometimes it takes about 10 minutes to connect to my computer. I bought this 30ft USB cable to keep the printer in the same place and have a direct connection. Now I connect to my printer as soon as the computer boots up. No more waiting. I managed to hide the cord on the walls so it doesn't trip or stand out. This might be a consideration for some, but what a relief from the frustration of waiting for WIFI to turn on. I've been thinking about buying a new printer but now I can put it off for a while as it's working great now.
