This is a really nice monitor mount and the build materials are of good quality comparable to other Smallrig products. I really wanted this monitor mount to fit my full size Smallrig Sony A1 frame. But there's one critical design flaw that renders this monitor mount useless: it doesn't have a wing nut or thumbscrew to tighten/loosen the tilt or pan axis! After about 10-12 times of tilting the screen, the tilt becomes so weak that the monitor just topples over. And there is no intermediate. It is either too tight or so loose that the monitor falls off. This happened to me in the field and I didn't have an Allen wrench with me to tighten it. So if you plan on frequently tilting your monitor as if it's RED, this isn't the best option for that reason alone. The pan axis suffers from the same disadvantage, but I never turn the monitor the other way. Tilt is a real problem. If they had included other hardware with a small knob or thumbscrew it would have been a 5 star product. For now, though, I would only recommend it if your monitor is fixed in one position for a long time. A short articulated arm is best for running and shooting.
