Nice little bottles, just the right size for mixing oils or adding something pretty. Corks are not made from hard cork, but from pressed cork (these are very small compressed pieces of cork). With prolonged exposure to moisture, they swell or crumble. That can be good or bad. I suggest using some plastic between the cork and the bottle if using liquids. However, I have found them to be good for scenting a room as a gentle shake of the bottle saturates the cork, causing the oil to ooze out and lightly scents the room. As said, if you don't want cork to absorb moisture (pressed cork absorbs moisture, hard cork doesn't), you can seal it with plastic or a very light wax finish. I find them great for sharing flavors. I sometimes buy perfume oil in larger bottles or mix scents myself, which is great for sharing small batches with friends. I think they will look just as beautiful on the shelf with colored water.
