, I wanted a battery powered fiber optic light. This one is fine. The light isn't very strong and not that noticeable in a room with daylight. The base also had a crack when it arrived. It comes in bubble wrap which doesn't seem to protect it very well. Either way, it's not a bad lamp for the price, but it's not great. It's not working as well in my class as I had hoped.
