I actually use this as a kitchen light and it looks great! The only issue we had was with the installation - I wanted to use shorter poles - it took us a while to figure out how to do it - the instructions didn't show or tell you what to do. The threaded part came on longer rods and didn't come loose on the first try - it took a lot of work and a few curses, but it eventually came off! Don't forget to protect the metal - we wrapped it in a towel and used pliers. After that, the installation went great!
