Died in less than 7 months

I bought this charger as a backup for office use because I often forgot my laptop charger at home. It wasn't used all the time, it just died. A part of the AC adapter becomes very hot when charging. I was just making sure it stayed on the ground and it didn't overheat anywhere. I thought everything was fine but he dies so quickly which is very disappointing. Another one-off failure of Chinese production. Spend a little more and get a seal of quality.
