My daughter chose this to wear to her first semi-formal spring dance. She's only 9 so I didn't want to spend hundreds on a baby dance dress. She chose this one and I didn't have high hopes for the price. She liked it and she was determined to do it with all her heart. When it arrived it exceeded all expectations. The color was more vivid and beautiful in person. The glitter was just the right amount. Glad I read the reviews and knew I had to order a hoop to fit under the skirt so there was both a puffy skirt and a swirly skirt. She wanted to feel like a great princess. The suggested $10 hoop worked great for adding fullness to the skirt. I went down a size and my daughter is tall and quite skinny so I could go down at least a size and the waist would be great. , but the length wouldn't be long enough if I did that. It was only slightly loose, which made it more comfortable. I also found it was quite wrinkled from being packed in such a small bag, but I just steamed it with a clothes steamer and it was an easy fix. I paired it with an ostrich feather fan from the bridal department to complete the glamorous 50's look she was hoping for and to be honest she looked perfect. All night I got messages that she was the favorite of the night because her dress was different. In this dress she looked and felt like a princess. I'm so glad we chose this. It didn't disappoint and she liked it even more than she thought. The perfect choice for her first dance and it didn't break the bank. (Dress and headband for $50.)
