I really liked these cables. My new laptop only has one USB Type-A port and a few USB-C ports. I bought these so I don't have to use a USB hub. When I use any cable, my external hard drive disconnects from my laptop after about 5-10 minutes. When I use a USB-C hub and USB-A cables (or plug my drives directly into the USB-A port), they don't turn off until I remove them.
