I have been using this product for three months after using Natures Gate Aloe Shampoo and Conditioner religiously. This is by far the BEST shampoo I have ever used! It lathers well and you only need a little to apply to the scalp. Personally, I love the smell and the tingling sensation, but for someone who doesn't like natural products, this shampoo may seem like a heavily medicinal scent at first. Avoid the eye area and any sensitive areas as the tingling is intense. My hair is naturally thin (but I have a lot of it), visibly greasy every other day, shoulder length and undyed - I stopped coloring it almost two years ago and as you can imagine I had dry/damaged hair . Nature's Gate was a good place to start for me, but I wish I had found this shampoo sooner. With Natures Gate my hair felt brittle and strawy even after a long shower. Just forget about shampooing—without conditioner, my hair would literally break. Yes, he was brilliant. but after a day he grew fat and felt depressed and dirty. Then I discovered Giovanni. I no longer use air conditioning in the shower at all. I use this shampoo every other day and the Giovanni brand leaves a conditioner on the days I wash my hair. My hair stays shiny, elastic, smells clean and most importantly not greasy for two or sometimes three days depending on my activities and the weather. I have received so many compliments on the softness, shine and elasticity of my hair. I have baby hair again! Hooray! One bottle lasts me about a month and it's definitely worth a try. You will not regret it! Update March 19th: Just wanted to update, after more than four years this is still my shampoo. My hair is below my waist now. I've found that about a tablespoon of shampoo is good for lathering my entire mane. If Giovanni stops this I don't know what to do lol. This shampoo is a holy grail product and I will continue to pay a premium for it.
