My average woman had trouble bending over the cot railing to put the baby down and pick it up, so we needed a small stool. Reasons, so we needed a wooden stool by default. It was a little more expensive than some of the other wood options, but I liked the one-piece design. The design is simple but very reliable: molded plywood, varnished.
