Given several bad reviews, I'm a little tired of buying. My experience may differ from others as I use it to connect my headphones to my laptop. (Some of the geniuses at IBM thought putting the headphone jack on the front of a laptop was a great idea, as long as it wasn't a bracket that pushed the jack against the wall.) In any case, I needed the right angle to to save space on the VIVO laptop shelf. The sound is great! I don't get any static or loss of signal. The sound quality is the same as before - (I put out two huge speakers under the desktop through the amplifier). I can see how the connector can come loose when used for more active applications, but other than that it will work fine.
