Now there is such a trend that all devices that have "gaming" or "for gamers" in the name supposedly involve the use of advanced technologies in production, giving an advantage to real "cybersportsmen" in this difficult sport. However, in reality, we see the usual marketing move, forcing those same "gamers" to give preference to these products. So it was with the mice of an ordinary Chinese company that added beautiful "gaming" lights to the devices, and with "gaming" chairs for 40+ kilo from cunning compatriots, so it is with headphones. For even greater "binding" of clients, mandatory registration has been introduced to use all the functions of devices (in this case, to use the 7.1 sound equalizer). In order not to create false expectations from devices, I recommend mentally deducting 50% of their cost. As for these headphones, the resulting price of ~ 3k approximately reflects their technical characteristics. Now, in essence: I bought for the now (2022) popular game PUBG, where your success greatly depends on the accuracy of the positioning of sounds (shots, steps). The equalizer setting is important, you won't be able to play right out of the box, I set the preset "immersion" setting for a start, turned it up louder, added a bit of bass. The game sounded in a new way: cool shots, clanging buggies, steps, the sound is quite detailed, good "high" in the headphones. I don’t know much about sound, I can’t rate the quality of 7.1 (it’s unlikely there really is 7.1), but for this game it’s enough, so it’s enough for other games. As for the microphone, it is the most common, convenient (it slides in and does not interfere), software noise reduction, what else to say - enough for communication, but not for high-quality streams. As a result, what we have: solid "gaming" headphones with software "tuning", any headphones for music for the same price will surpass in sound quality, but you buy them for games, right?
