Review on Acrylic Tallit for Women - TALITNIA Imitation Prayer Shawl and Accessories by Bre Marie

Can't be kosher: women

I had to go back. The description says it's certified kosher tzitzit, but the product packaging doesn't say anything about that. I spoke to the Rabbi and he said that Talithnia's acrylic talihot always comes with an alternative kashrut certificate. They mention nothing but kosher in English and Hebrew on the packaging. Just because it says it's made in Israel doesn't mean it's kosher. In addition, no kosher certificate (gehsher/kashrut) is attached to the tallit or even included separately in the package. I have bought Tallitnia Tallitot before and they always come with a Kosher Certificate (Heksher/Kashrut) attached to Tallit. I ordered two different tallitots and neither of them had a Hechsher/Kashrut certificate. Looking at the two tallitots, the tzitzit cords on all four corners were not the right length/ratio so they could not be kosher. Neither can be carried into the synagogue or given to a child. I had to send both back.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
