I've been cutting my family's hair for about 40 years. Most family members have fine, straight hair. In the past I have used scissors which didn't cut my hair well and made it difficult to get a good trim. These scissors are exceptionally sharp and cut hair very well. Also, I love accessories. The hair clips hold up really well and the combs, robe and tote bag are all nice additions. I would like to add a word of caution regarding the sharpness of the scissors. In fact, I cut a big hole in one of my raincoats while cutting my niece's hair. They cut so well that you have to be careful not to cut yourself (which I did) or nearby clothing. I also don't think these scissors will fit someone with big fingers. I have fairly thin long fingers, but it seems to me that using scissors is a little painful. The photo shows how small they are. Still, I can grip them very well and there is room for 3 fingers and a thumb that fits my hand nicely. They cut so well that I will continue to prefer them, although after a while they become a bit awkward to use.
