So the main reason I chose one of these was not for hiking but for daily walks with the baby. I usually put him in a wheelchair and walk two miles, but that seemed too easy and I didn't challenge him. I thought one of them would be a little more difficult because instead of pushing the stroller I would be carrying its weight. then put the backpack on the table and was able to put it on without help. We walked two miles and it seemed more difficult than just pushing a stroller. When we got back to the house I was able to put it on the table, lower it to the floor and pull it out. When it's time for a walk, he now walks in a backpack instead of a stroller. I think he liked the height. All in all I would recommend this.
