I have used these cables with one of their own lampshade kits and they did not fit properly. The part where the bulb is screwed has a slightly smaller rim. This allowed the lampshade to fall onto the lightbulb. Installing a screw on the lip keeps the lampshade clear of the lamp, but due to the small size of the fixed edge, it allows the lampshade to be pushed onto the cord (without pinching the lampshade between the fixed edge and loosening the screw on the Edge). ). If the part that the bulb screws into (the part that attaches to the wire) had its eyelet 1/8 inch larger, you could clamp the lampshade between that eyelet and the screw on the bottom eyelet. Also, this is supposed to come in one package, I didn't need two of these, but I used the lip screw from the 2nd along with the lip screw from the first to make it work.
