Does what it's supposed to do

I installed this Gen 2 unit in the basement of a Class C RV that already had Firestone Ride Rite airbags installed. Once the installation was complete, WirelessOne worked exactly as it should, except that pairing the remote to the hub failed on the first try but worked on the second. I tried the iOS app on the iPhone and it also worked as advertised. However, apart from downloading firmware updates to the distributor, I don't see any benefit in the phone app as the included wireless remote control is very good. I ran it from 5 to 95 psi and back a few times and it worked as it should. The pressure is very accurate compared to the digital gauge on the Shrader valve next to the compressor. With Firestone bags on the empty RV, the bus rose 7/8" over the rear axle as the pressure changed from 5psi to 95psi. I haven't ridden yet to test driving performance under different loads. The only negative I found with WirelessOne is that the compressor sounds quite loud and hoarse, giving the impression that this is a cheaply made compressor. Time will tell how durable and reliable it is.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Has flaws
