I was very pleased to receive and use these bowls. I switched from glass bowls to a couple of stainless steel bowls and was looking for a set that I could use for both cooking and storage. I paid a little more for this set because I wanted a heavier bowl with quality lids. Note that the caps are listed as "vacuum seals" in the description. Initially there was a small gap between the rim of the bowl and the lid, but I pressed it harder, pushing the air out of the bowl and it sealed very well. I'm not sure if it's 100% waterproof, I wouldn't leave it upside down in your fridge, but I only got a drop or two when I did a test with some water in a bowl. I like that the bowls have a grippy surface on the bottom. In general, the product is worth its price.
