Camera tripods should be at the top of any filmmaker's MUST-HAVE list. Besides all the accessories I need to create good content, I have Zhiyun gimbals as well as DJI products including the Ronin M. Like any artist, I understand that the best quality will last over the long haul, BUT I've also learned that just because OEM Retail you've done it doesn't mean that someone else or (Co.) won't have a near-identical product can produce at a fraction of the cost. Luckily, Zhiyun makes reversible ColdShoes with a safety locking pin/5 1/4 20, including a Rosetta medium-thread mount. It will fit things like a 1.5" thumbscrew, a double Rosetta link spacer with a pinch wheel, a 3" HD Rosetta threaded extension arm, or even a 1.5" threaded action cam base mount . Rosette. Dozens of monitor mounts, microphone extensions, etc., all VERY VALUABLE DUE TO THE LOCKING ABILITY (to prevent slippage under pressure/weight/inertia (running and weapon movements)). Due to the workmanship, the strong metal and the design "no parts fall out" (with a locking screw to increase n the tension) don't lose the screw on the nut when you put it on your gimbal (depending on which model you're using). I found it a home run in all modes on my Ronin M, but without a 3-inch crane/jib tripod it was a miracle; Since the Ronin usually hangs upside down on a horizontal arm, I was able to use just a straight arm with a horizontal axis without the risk of the cables getting tangled.
