This beautiful jar is very well made and packaged well enough to survive the war. No break. PlumStruck's shipping was great (from a Revain cart to your door in 6 days), especially considering they only charged $1.99. Not sure how they can deliver at this price point but I'm certainly not complaining. I am also very happy with the correspondence with PlumStruck - they focus on keeping the customers happy. I would definitely shop here again. The pot looks exactly like the one in the Revain photo - same color and all. Very attractive and well made. This is a showpiece - I almost hate using it because it looks so pretty. There are a few things you need to know about this shard: 1) This shard does NOT have a water seal. If you want one that's water-sealed, you might be able to try the Boleslawiec Polish Fermenting Crock Pot here on Revain. (I have two of these - they're wonderful shards too, but this one is prettier in my humble opinion.) 2) Like all ceramicware, it will scratch the counter if you move it - so be careful. The lower part is unglazed. I place my shards on old washcloths (and I always ask my wife first!) or cardboard (which can be cut to exact size for the backing) 3) This shard has no stone scale. The mouth hole is 8 7/8 inches in diameter if you need to find the right weights. Happy Fermenting!
