Review on Cats Rule Scoop Holder Black by Lauren Campbell

5 stars for the holder and 2 stars for the scoop. After years of using "LitterLocker" with built in scoop holder, I no longer want to pay for LitterLocker refills. During this time I got used to the fountain pen and needed something different. Finding a shovel holder at local pet stores doesn't seem like an option. There was not a large selection of shovels with holders on the internet either. This shovel and the "Cats Rule" holder looked good, although the price was more than I was willing to pay. The scoop and holder are as cute as the picture, but the scoop itself is not as durable as other cat litter scoops. If you hold it near the end of the handle, the handle will flex if there is any weight on it. This shovel appears to be made of softer plastic than other shovels. To keep the bucket from bending, I need to hold the handle closer to the actual part of the bucket. For me, the point of a pen is to keep my hand away from the dustpan (and its contents). Conclusion: The scoop is cute, but it doesn't work well. I would have liked a stronger plastic that doesn't bend during use. I especially like the shovel holder. It is a one-piece molded plastic that is easy to wash and clean with disinfectants. I use my old shovel in a holder as the plastic (old shovel) is more durable. The size of the holder also fits this shovel. The purchase provided the holder I wanted. However, if you want a shovel to work, I would not recommend this product.
