This product does the job. iPad Pro 9.7' is good here. iPhone is good too. Not for notebooks. However, the structure of a string is not as simple as described. But once you word it the way you want it, it will stay. It is difficult to bend the thread. At the end of the string is a ball that you can use to drive around corners. Also, I figured there are two ways to assemble it depending on where you want to place it. It's hard to set up though, so I'll just leave it where it is for the long haul.
