First of all, 500W is a joke. The amplifier is 95W RMS/ch x2 and is driven at 190W RMS into 4 ohms. That makes it perfect for the Pioneer SW2002D2 8" subwoofer I packed in my caravan. If you're looking for a true 500w amp it will cost a lot more and will be a lot more. The description says it's worth it turns on when the input signal is present, however it's not clear that this doesn't work if you're using the RCA inputs Don't use the power on line to turn it off, this is impractical for my application so I modified it to turn on when an input signal is detected at the RCA input with a simple op amp circuit.
