Great little camera

I mainly use it as a DVR but I see many other uses for it. It is extremely small due to the built-in video screen, which means it is very discreet and portable. The cost isn't overly reasonable, but if you want to get the most out of it, you'll need to spend a few minutes on basic research and downloads. There was nothing in my package except a camera and a tripod sled (not a real tripod) so find the documentation and go through it. In practice, there are few buttons, and the only button I find necessary is the power button. When downloading the documentation, download the mSetup GUI configuration utility. This checks for (and installs) new firmware, but there were a few out-of-the-box improvements that I found useful. There are two video "modes" but they seem to be mostly profiles. For example, you can set one mode for high resolution and high frame rate, and then another mode for low resolution and frame rate. You can use the configuration program to select the standard mode. What I like to set was the automatic recording power. If you use it as a DVR/DVR, enable loop recording (disabled by default) and appropriate clip length; It took me 5 minutes. I have a 16GB microSD card, so I changed the frame rate to 30fps from the default 60fps. You can even enable or disable the recording status LEDs. There's no real attachment system other than some sort of Velcro so I tried it on my dash first, but all I got was good video of my windshield wipers. I mentioned above that it comes with a tripod slide, so I have a really nice visor mount that makes it quick and easy to take off when I get out of the car. The battery is enough to get me to work and home. again, so at least an hour. Haven't used a USB car charger with it yet, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. Without a built-in screen, aiming takes some practice. That unfortunately means hanging around in the car, recording a few minutes, and then connect it to a PC or laptop. But it's a short learning curve, once or twice should suit your preferences. Haven't used a USB car charger with it yet, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.
