I have a 15 pound Boston Terrier who likes to stay warm in the mornings and wrap himself in a blanket on my lap, but I get up and sit down several times each morning in the home office and it does hurt her every time lifting up and down. I received this bed in a small size, although the recommended size is medium because I don't have much space for it and it fits perfectly. First I left the heating pad out to feel how warm it was. and didn't seem to warm up at all. I put it in my bag on the bed, waited a few minutes and the pillow was VERY warm. It must have something to do with the material and the seal between the layers that is causing it to heat up. She LOVES it and won't stray from it. The heat is great and at 4 watts I don't have to worry about electricity bills. Easy to assemble, the very last post is a bit more difficult due to tension but not impossible. He is solid and strong. Hope it lasts and stays warm.
