softer than the fluff behind a puppy's ears. What I like the most is the way it is packaged. It was boxed and came in its own heavy duty zip and vacuum bag. So if you need an emergency or backup blanket for your trunk or interior this would be perfect. It's affordable enough to buy a few of these, and they'll last a century in your pockets ready to use. When they say it's soft, it's so soft I could barely get my hand on it as I pulled it out of my pocket before it slipped out of my huge hands onto the couch. It's softer than my other fleece blanket and I love the deep royal blue color and the stars are a nice bonus. If there's a downside, it's temporary. When I added the polyester sheet there was a little static, but I think it came from the sheet, not the blanket. However, this has all resolved itself and is currently being used as I write this and am quite comfortable. Update: After a week of use, there is no static electricity when wearing ordinary pajamas or cotton sheets, only polyester clothes generate static electricity, and it generates it when walking on carpets, so the blanket is not to blame. Thank you to everyone who designed, made, packaged and shipped it. I appreciate that very much. I'm going to buy another one for the closet so I have some leftovers.
