I never write reviews. I had to for that. My skin is extremely sensitive, oily and acne prone - in 2017 I tried a multi-pronged approach to my skin based on self testing, reading recent research on the relationship between food and skin and thousands of hours. videos on youtube. Ogee Jojoba Restore Facial Oil is the latest breakthrough in skin improvement. So here's the story. I live in a dark, comedic world where I have to alternate between using moisturizers and oil control products. In summer my face is an oil stain. In winter my face is very itchy, especially around the hairline, chin and eyebrows. I have tried very expensive moisturizers along with Retin-A pore tightening, benzoyl peroxide/clindamycin/sulfur face washes and spot treatments to reduce my acne marks etc with some success. But in general I felt doomed to the Sisyphus cycle: dry --> moisturizer --> oil ---> acne ---> acne and oil control ---> dryness. And all the money that's being spent on all these products, I don't even want to think about that. Anyway, in early 2017 I read some research that people with acne should just stop using moisturizers for a while and let the skin change its oil balance and also just do acne spot treatment. So it worked, even if it was very, very uncomfortable for a few weeks. I also tried quitting milk, which significantly improved the texture of the skin on my face and body - who would have thought! So overall my acne problem was reduced by about 80% but my skin had dry itchy patches on the edge of my face and very oily patches on my cheeks. I decided to experiment with oils because my research has shown that I can have NORMAL skin that just gets irritated by improper care. I realized that the right oil can simply support natural sebum production. I tried organic cold-pressed coconut oil, especially since it's a traditional beauty practice in my home region. BAD IDEA. COCONUT OIL IS COMEDOGENE - not everyone reacts that way but my skin was not happy and broke out in very painful cystic acne. I gave up coconut oil and after a few days decided I might try jojoba as this oil has a molecular structure that seems to mimic natural skin oils. I thought about getting a whole food version of jojoba, but after trying coconut oil I was hooked. I came across Ogee Jojoba Restore Oil on Kelly LeVec's website and her articles on nutrition and health, including skin health, are definitely worth reading. I thought I might as well try Ogee. My skin is so healthy now! I almost never have breakouts. I get pimples here and there now and then, but they're pretty normal and pretty dry - they go away quickly with a little spot treatment. Overall, my skin has never been this soft and smooth in YEARS. At $44, this thing is very, very expensive - like liquid gold. So I bought high quality cold pressed jojoba oil. But my skin quickly started to itch because of it. Ogee's formula contains skin-soothing ingredients that really love and care for sensitive skin. BUY THAT. It's worth it. You'll save so much money because you'll never have to buy other products that don't actually do anything to heal your skin. I cannot praise this little magic elixir flask.
