I used them in a special control unit for lighting and fans. 40 A is the absolute maximum for resistive loads, while inductive loads are slightly reduced. Of the ten relays, one mysteriously failed, that is, it still switches, but the closed resistance between the contacts was about 3 ohms, at a current of 10 A the relay literally melted and smoked. Otherwise I had no problems. I wouldn't swim with them, but they survived the heavy rain when a terrible storm ripped off the roof of the control shed.
