I use my iPad to write handwritten notes with my Apple Pencil and also as a laptop replacement and I've noticed that to take notes with my Apple Pencil I had to take the iPad completely out of the magic keyboard case and place them directly on any surface in front of me. Needless to say I was afraid it would be scratched or broken. Although this case was overpriced, it solved my problems and made it easier for me to get out of my magic keyboard case. It also keeps the Apple Pencil in place as without it it would keep falling. It's not made of anything outstanding, so I think the price is a little steep, but it does the job well.
