For the price they work very well. glass holder. The impressive thing is that they are made out of real glass and not plastic. I think I would prefer plastic in case of an accident. The metal part looks like thin metal wrapped around a plastic grinder. I can't tell if it's real metal, but it looks good and doesn't scratch. They look great and work great. It's easy to change the grind setting. They even grind my Sichuan pepper better than my traditional coffee grinder. The caps are magnetic and hold up well.
