This down is considered the platinum of down and lives up to its reputation. Very soft and high quality, this expensive piece is for those who really want something they might not like. I've read about the difference between feathers and down and down is the more expensive product, although I'm not sure I can qualitatively tell the luxury pillow I received from a feather pillow. However, for information, feathers are the outer covering of the bird. Under the feathers lies - usually this is the abdomen of a bird. It's light and fluffy. I was impressed what applies to recycling, but it's a matter of taste and whether it's worth the money. For a connoisseur, that's it. It comes nicely packaged and the invoice is excellent. As a layman, I value linen thread count more than down because I can tell the difference. Very good product but make sure you are not allergic to down.
