I've tried all 3 different sizes of OEM silicone ear tips and in different positions (without affecting the seal) but couldn't fit the AirPods Pro in my left ear without pain fit what would radiate into my jaw and throat. specifically, the pain was due to the pressure of its rear plastic casing on that part of my ear canal; This wasn't an issue with the OEM ear tips, all of which provided a good seal. They saved my ear and allowed me to wear my AirPods Pro completely pain free now! In my ear, the AirPods Pro no longer press against that spot on my ear. To ensure a good fit, as with all foam ear tips, the manufacturer recommends squeezing them together, inserting them into the ear and allowing the foam to spread to all sides of the ear canal. This method actually causes pain due to the pressure of the frothed foam. These medium size ear tips allow me to fit them in my ear and seal the canal well from the outside without having to push them further in so there is no excessive pressure. :) I can ensure that none of the sizes interfere with case storage. Unfortunately, being foam, they don't last as long as OEM silicone. UPDATE: After ONE YEAR of use, the M size earbuds continued to fall off, but it wasn't the foam that failed, it was the adapter that locks the earbuds in place. It's likely that the heat from the AirPods Pro will soften the plastic over time. Customer service is great! He sent a replacement under warranty. (I used the original ear tips while waiting. Phew! Poor, painful fit.)
