I ordered this for 2 3 month old kittens. I thought a small one would be better for them because they are so small. They are now about 4 months old and have grown a lot in the past few months. But they still like to play with it. I was pleasantly surprised that they played with it right away before I even assembled it lol. They were still a little scared of their new home when I got this and wouldn't come out of hiding at all let alone play. I am very happy with it. Now I need to get something with more levels and toys because now they are crazy about playing constantly and bumping everything in their way and also scratching my furniture. But they used it as a scratching post when they were little. If you have a small cat or kitten, this is perfect for them.
