I bought 2 of these 4 years ago, a set started to flicker so I decided to order more. When they arrived I saw that they were different, updated. Original Equipment: The lights were in an aluminum housing, these lights had to be screwed in, I believe this is because they got very hot, so the adhesive strips didn't work, they also only had a physical on/off switch. I still thought she was great. New kit: plastic body, does not heat up, so it can be installed on adhesive pads, there is a dimmer and a touch switch. You also have a memory. So if you turn them on in the brightest light, they'll remember that when you turn them back on. Improvements are AWESOME! Also the new set has a warm light, the old design was cool! The adapter also looks more attractive. I hope this helps with your decision as I noticed all the reviews are for the old design!
