I bought these as an eco-friendly alternative to constantly buying paper filters because I thought they would fit in my Hario V60 2-drip coffee mug thanks to the thick lid at the bottom of the cone , which is not filtered through, the coffee drips to the side. If the ceramic mug is directly above the mug that needs to be poured, that's not too much of a problem, although you won't be able to see how much coffee you're pouring unless you have a see-through mug. The problem is when I make more than one cup of coffee and use the drip into carafe method. The Hario system typically involves placing a ceramic mug on a plastic holder and underneath is a carafe with a mesh stand to catch accidental drips. When using this filter on this system you have to be careful with the thick lid and drippers that the drips actually end up in the carafe or fly straight out to the side. I've had two or three accidents when I wasn't paying close attention to the pouring as the drips went everywhere but the carafe. So it works. I'd rather have my coffee in my cup than on my counter.
