Works great. Exactly as described. This is the second style of LED Torchstar I've bought and I love both. They were bought for what I assumed were 3 way lamps. I bought two boxes (4 LEDs). I tried them but found that I really only have a proven 3-way lamp. At least two of them are lamp-in-base types, so 3-way actually means turning on the base and the actual lamp. Guilty! One thing I still need to research - it didn't work, but I suspect it's not a real type of 3-way lamp, but should have a light at the base (gone now). Definitely - it's very good when you have real 3-way lamps! Update 6/15/2017 - second order for these - I found a few more 3 way bulbs that had CFL bulbs. i still like it I'm a big fan of Torchstar 5000k lamps. I like the white light they give off. I bought a couple of Philips locally and was very unhappy - the same 5000 thousand, but they looked too blue. These only look white. I don't know if I need more Torchstar products but I won't be replacing them with the brand.
