Really works! for household goods

The stuff really works! When I moved into a new apartment, we had water in the basement. The place is old (nearly 100 years old) and there's little you can do to fix the water getting into your basement unless you want to redo the whole thing from scratch. Since we couldn't afford a dehumidifier on our budget, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! They are good at removing moisture from the air and help minimize the "musty basement smell". I ordered 5 and put 4 in our basement and 1 in our bathroom. This helps A LOT when it rains and we have some water in the basement, it dries up within a few hours. It also helps our bathroom, especially in summer when it can be humid. The crystals harden after you pour them over and slowly absorb moisture from the air. Clumping is normal and eventually they will completely disintegrate and water will completely fill the bottom. After filling, simply pour into the toilet and flush. Can easily be refilled with Wm Barr FG30K 42oz DampRid Refill (most economical as you don't have to go out and buy a container again and is reusable). They're not as powerful as dehumidifiers, but good for the price. This took a little less than 2 months and we saved money on our electricity bills! Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to a dehumidifier.
