I have tried many other brands of running shoes and Saucony is by far the best. It's worth the extra cost as they last much longer than other brands. I have a pair of these shoes that have lasted me 4 seasons of competition and still do. These shoes do the job well. I am an NCAA Division III track and field athlete and these shoes have served me well in all of my running and jumping events. I'm a sprinter. I run 100, 200 and 100 meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump. In my experience, these shoes run (no pun intended) about a size smaller; I usually wear a size 7 1/2 and the size 8 1/2 of this shoe fits me perfectly. The shoe comes with a set of removable spikes and a wrench. The spikes don't dull as quickly. These are 1/4 inch pyramidal cleats, the only type of cleat legal on most indoor tracks. However, they work just as well on open trails. All in all, these shoes are a great choice!
