Feels like real leather (but maybe I'm easily fooled) and I love it. No problem, all iPad buttons are unlocked. Insertion into the case was very easy, the plastic corners move slightly to allow for the iPad to be inserted. Looks safe. I haven't tried dropping it yet and hopefully won't, so I can't speak to the defense. The front, back and one side are very protected by the soft case, I'm not sure about the other three edges. probably depends on how exactly it falls. This case has a comfortable feeling. Seems well done. Carefully; When you receive the case there may be a note inside offering a free upgrade to a lifetime warranty if you register your email address with them. Their website contact forms didn't work but I was able to email them directly. I was told I now have a lifetime warranty. .About a week later, I received spam-related malware. That's the problem; I used a new email address that I didn't give to anyone. So I know for a fact that they have security problems. They need to improve their website (or email) security, but that's probably not their job right now. So you might consider not registering for a lifetime warranty. Nice iPad case and seems like a nice person but be careful with your dates.
