I bought to replace the Sangean I had for many years. For the price this is a very good radio but with some caveats. On the plus side, it's fairly easy to use and set presets and clocks. I am currently working from home and in a room on the second floor of my home. In my experience I get excellent suburban reception for both AM and FM stations, and pretty decent regional AM reception for regional stations within a 150km range (obviously one has to position the radio and not place it near other electronic Install devices while listening to AM stations). Also, I rarely use it without headphones, but it's nice to have an external speaker and it's just the right size for a pocket. Of the minuses: it really burns AAA batteries. I listen to it for a few hours every day and it really drains my batteries a lot quicker than the Sangean I had before. I just bought some rechargeable batteries so I can change them when needed, but it's definitely not long battery life. Also, the lock feature isn't great and the clock resets every time the battery is changed, so I don't even put it in anymore.
