Lightweight, good fit with cooling fabric, perfect sun protection

I like this sun shirt; it is lightweight and comfortable. After 60 years of sun exposure my skin needs protection. It has visible signs of sun spot damage. We didn’t have sunscreen when I was a kid, we had sun tan lotion with the idea to get a thorough even tan. How times change! This shirt is 100% polyester, it feels soft on my skin and has a cooling effect that doesn’t trap heat. The fabric is a good type to block sun burning rays. Fit is good with awesome width stretch up to 180%, vertical stretch is about 40%.I got the XL light blue, for reference I am 40 chest, 36 waist, 6’ tall and 184 pounds. Shirt body length is very good and comes past my waist even though I have a long torso. Arm length just comes to my wrist, wish the arms were a little bit longer. Neck line is high enough to cover a good portion of my neck but not so tight I feel like I am getting choked. Will need to provide other means to protect neck from the sun.Construction: Shirt is well made, overlock stitching on side seams, flat lock seams around arms for comfort. Tag-less design, label info is printed on shirt and there is no irritating side seam tag like so many shirts have. Fabric tends to snag but has good elasticity and recovery. The light blue color is very pretty, vivid and saturated. It is a good color for sun protection as it is closer to white than black with a tendency to reflect light instead of absorb it like a darker color would.Overall, terrific sun-protection shirt I would buy again.

Pros
  • Made with eco-friendly and sustainable materials
Cons
  • May not be suitable for consumers on a tight budget
