Solid discrete watch. It is easy to read as the hour, minute and second hands contrast well with the dial and the numerals are clear as a bell. They seem to tell the time well, which is what clocks are for. Note, however, that the leather strap is not as dark or red as it appears in the photo, at least not to me. For those familiar with Munsell's color designation, the stripe appears almost light brown in the photo (7.5 yrs 4/6), while in person it looks more tawny (10 yrs 5/6) or even brownish yellow (10 yrs 6/6 ) appears ), nothing. deduct a full star. Update August 24, 2017: I didn't bother to eat my words, luckily with some hot sauce they're not that bad. I put on my watch for work today and as I have a Munsell soil color chart I compared the strap to pages 10YR and 7.5 YR and to my surprise the color was almost as light brown (7.5 YR 4/6 ). or less as it looks in the photo. Where's the hot sauce?
